Eric Hein: Songwriter, Guitar, Vocals Eric Hein has been playing in various bands on the Montreal music scene for over ten years. He began his career in the mid-90s as a song-writer and guitarist for The Conspiracy, a local rock group. It was there he honed his writing techniques and began to experiment with new ways of combining original, literate lyrics with evocative grooves. After leaving The Conspiracy, he played in a series of bands before finally putting together The Northerners. It is through The Northerners that Eric is able to put a voice to his growing repertoire of songs. When not playing with The Northerners, Eric can be found at various jam-spots throughout the city where he makes regular appearances to keep his improvisational chops fresh. He also regularly backs other local musicians, playing guitar or bass for such performers as Signe, Mike Phelan, Brian Seeger, and Chris Hein, among others.
